COMPARING ANA'S STORY TO THE HOLOCAUST

From what i read in Ana's story is very much similar to the Holocaust in several ways! in her story she says she grew up in a gang and thats baically all she knew. Long story short she met a teacher that encouraged her to change and s slowly she started to. Before she felt as though if she didnt look or act the way she did she wouldnt make it no where ot survive. in comparison to the holocaust people were basically killed if they didnt fit in to the discribtion or wasnt normal. but once Ana saw this line in a book "i feel like a bird in a cage, and i wish i had the wings to fly away" actually a line from a girl in the holocaust, she related to it and knew that the first step to getting out that cage was to tell the truth in the trial of paco.(her leader gang member)
